Desperate times...:(

As you may have heard AZ has a 150 million dollar budget cut in the works. What you may not know is that 43 million of that is a cut that directly effects the Developmentally Disabled...this is who I serve directly. Not only do our rates decrease but the amount of help these individuals are receiving will be cut which in turn puts these families at risk for even more heartache and stress. Approximately 29,000 disabled AZ residents will LOSE, yes I said LOSE, their funding. This is huge. These families NEED this service and without it could face unforeseen disruptions in daily life....PLEASE be aware of what you can do as a citizen and resident of Arizona. If you know someone or have a family member with a disability, please attend the Legislative Awareness Day on March 10th, 2009 from 8am-2pm. It is on the Capital Lawn on Washington Street.
This will only get worse before it gets better. Please voice your story and opinions for those who do not have the ability.
You can also contact Jan Brewers' office to voice your thoughts at 1-800-253-0883 or azgovernor.gov/Contact.asp
