A little belly love...

A good friend who does photography gave me a session for my shower gift and these are a few of the shots she was able to get! We went to Schnepf Farms where they have all kinds of fun things. My favorite is the one with the red building. It was EXTREMELY humid that morning because there was a storm the night before so I was drenched but in all she was able to get some fun shots that I will cherish for years to come. Thanks Lisa!

5 more weeks :)

Quick update on how we are doing...

I'm currently 34.5 weeks and CAN'T wait to be done. It seems that Aviana may make an appearance early but I'm not holding my breathe just yet. I am currently still working but that may be coming to an end soon. Not sure how I feel about it but will do whatever needs to be done to ensure she arrives safely. I will update more on that later this week or next.
Above is a pic from over a week ago. I have more to post from her room but am waiting until this weekend to post those. Still a few more things I need to get done! This pic has her crib, which I adore, and the letters that 2 of my girlfriends and I made. They turned out so cute! (Thanks Ali and Heather)
She will be here soon and we are SO excited to finally meet her. And lucky for me, I'm not nervous just yet. More excited to see what her delivery will be like. It will be such an amazing experience no matter the outcome, so I am eager to see how it all plays out.

Love to all. <3

Baby stuff

I thought I would do a quick post of a few things we have purchased for the little lady's room! A while ago I ordered her crib bedding from Amazon. We initially were going to do pink, green and ivory for the nursery colors but after searching for the perfect bedding to go with this theme, the more I didn't like the colors. I LOVE the color green but was a little overwhelmed by having so much pink in her room. I am not a huge pink fan, never have been and I'm sure never will be! So....after looking through a catalog and seeing this bedding set I fell in love with, I decided to go way "out of the box" and get it. When I say "out of the box" I mean, not your typical girly colors! Nonetheless, I ordered it and hope I still love it once the crib arrives. Here is a pic...(I only got the crib bedding, bumper, dust ruffle and quilt, I may order more stuff once all put together)

I will wait to post about the crib furniture since it will be here at the end of this month (fingers crossed)! It is SO cute and I can hardly wait to see it. :)

Now for the rocker...

We initially fell in love with a Pottery Barn rocker but after doing the pricing it was WAY too expensive! So I researched online and found one for a much better price. It should be here tomorrow and I am excited to have Jerry put it together this weekend so I can try it out! We ordered the slipcover in beige, but if we don't like it I will take it back and get the chocolate one.

A quick belly update

(Can you tell I'm tired?)
I know it has been a while since I added anything to this blog but honestly I have had no desire to blog. I thought I would do a quick update on my belly and how things have been going...

The last update was when we found out we were having a girl! I have had numerous ultrasounds since then (18 weeks) after having a few issues. Nothing too serious; I have just been taking it easy since 20 weeks. I was on bed rest for a few weeks but finally went back to work. Other than my back hurting me daily I'm feeling pretty good. My belly has been growing and learning to get out of bed has been quite the challenge these days. Being pregnant is definitely not easy on the body but totally worth it :)
I am now 25 weeks and counting down the days until our little lady arrives. We have ordered her nursery furniture but it won't be delivered until the end of July...so we are still waiting to get her room done. I can't wait to see the finished product. My Mom is coming next month and she will be making the curtains for her room. It will be nice to have her here as well as my sister in law, Erica and Carter. Unfortunately, my brother will not make it out here until the baby arrives. I can't wait to see him!
I do have some more ultrasound pictures to scan but since we bought new Apple computers I have not hooked mine to the scanner--lack of energy! I will get to it hopefully soon.
I hope to post again soon with some more photos of baby's room and my growing belly!

It's a GIRL!!!

We can't believe it but we had our 2nd trimester ultrasound yesterday and they said we are having a GIRL!! Jerry and I are over the moon happy that we got to see her for a little while yesterday. It was so amazing to see her moving around. Her little hands, arms, legs, head and everything else were so precious. We really feel blessed that everything seemed perfect and she is growing right on schedule. The tech said she weighed 8oz.! Unbelievable. She is moving a lot more now and feeling her is so incredibly neat. Being pregnant gets more exciting as the days go on!

I will keep updating as we progress with her room and such. Now all the fun stuff begins!

17 weeks along :)
At Dove Mountain (Marana, AZ) enjoying the breathtaking views and fresh air.

Happy Anniversary to us! We went to the Ritz Carlton in Marana for our Anniversary. What a weekend.

1 whole year has passed since we have been married. It's seems like yesterday that I married the most wonderful guy I could find. He is perfect for me and makes me laugh and smile each day. People always say the first year is the hardest, but for us it was the easiest. I feel blessed to call him my hubby. He never strays from what is important and always makes me feel loved. I know in my heart that he will be the best Daddy to our chldren and I am thankful that I have such faith in him. It's so fun to be sharing every moment of this life together and I look forward to many more years of unconditional love, joy and adventure.
